I came across this great kids holiday idea and had to try it out. I can say that it was fun to put it all together and the kids to run their hands through…but we all agree that it really didn’t turn out like snow. On the magical side it was a fun idea and if you use your imagination it can be just like snow! It is a very cute idea though to give to kids and their friends that don’t get the snow experience where they live. All in all the kids enjoyed throwing it around and even put it on the trampoline and jumped in it.
Here are the ingredients you will need: Kosher Salt, Cornstarch, Glitter and Paint Cans (not pictured). You can find the paint cans at your local big box hardware store for a couple of dollars.
To make the snow you will need to mix 2/3 Cups Kosher Salt, 1/3 Cups of cornstarch, and glitter. Of course this will not fill the can…just keep mixing the same amounts from above until the can is full.
