There is so many flavors, essential oils, colors and ways to make your own lip balm.
What can be used as a lip gloss base?
I love to use beeswax and then an oil either coconut oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, olive oil or sunflower oil.
You can also use beeswax with shea butter which is another favorite of mine.
Once you have your base skies the limit with scents, glitter, holographic really whatever you can think of.

How To Make DIY Unicorn Lip Gloss
In a microwave safe measuring cup, in 30 second bursts, stirring after each, melt the beeswax and coconut oil.
Add in your fruity pebbles flavoring.
Add in 1 teaspoon of your mica coloring and mix well.
If you want a darker color, add in ½ teaspoon more and mix.
Continue until the desired color is achieved.
Carefully pour into your lip balm containers.
Allow your lip balm to cool and set for about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with your cosmetic glitter or edible glitter.
Allow to set completely, which will take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

- Lip Balm Containers
Ingredients
- 1 ½ tablespoons grated beeswax
- 1 ½ tablespoons coconut oil
- 1-2 drops of fruity pebbles flavoring
- 1 teaspoon bubblegum mica coloring
- Fine silver cosmetic glitter
- 1 microwave safe measuring cups
- 1 small heat safe bowl
- 1 small spoon or whisk
- Lip balm containers
Instructions
- In a microwave safe measuring cup, in 30 second bursts, stirring after each, melt the beeswax and coconut oil.
- Add in your fruity pebbles flavoring.
- Add in 1 teaspoon of your mica coloring and mix well. If you want a darker color, add in ½ teaspoon more and mix. Continue until the desired color is achieved.
- Carefully pour into your lip balm containers. Allow your lip balm to cool and set for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with your cosmetic glitter or edible glitter. Allow to set completely, which will take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
