So this is how to make candles from scratch that literally take under 10 minutes. These are the best DIY candles that are quick, easy and simple to make at home. You will need some sort of glass candle holders
You will also need some water
For the first water candle idea – you will need glass beads or gems
Place the beads or gems in the glass candle holder
Fill with water
Now you will need a piece of plastic (you can use a food container for this)
Cut out a small round piece that will fit in the glass candle container
Carefully cut a hole in the middle
Next you will need birthday candles (these burn the longest)
Carefully remove the wax from the outside of the candle wick
Soak the wick in oil for a few minutes
Place wick in the hole made in the plastic piece
Now place about an inch or 2 of some sort of cooking oil on top of water

Place plastic piece with wick in the water and oil

Now light the wick – and that is how you make this DIY water candle
For the next homemade water candle DIY – you will need some craft sand
And a glass candle holder – pour sand into the bottom of the candle holder
Place mini fish in the sand (these are Finding Nemo)
To color the water you will need food coloring
Place a few drops of blue food coloring into you get the color of blue water you like
After you stir the food coloring & water together – pour into candle
Again add some cooking oil to the water
Make the same plastic piece and candle wick as above & place in water candle
Light it and watch it burn!

Loving the ideas there is now wax or crayons in these handmade candles making it and easy DIY. They still create a Lumiere effect and are decorative too. They can be personalized to your tasty and decor. Kids would love little toys in their candles or maybe even unicorns or mermaids. If you don’t have candle jars these would be super cute in a mason jar or even baby food jar. I could see giving these as a gift for family, friends, neighbors or co-workers for birthdays or Christmas or just because. These could also be used at wedding for a cute ceterpiece or table decor. I can not get it to work, I do not know what I am doing wrong. I put everything in the candle glass and lite the wick, it burnt for about 3 seconds and would not light again, can you help me. I love candles.
