Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 9x9 baking dish well.
Melt the butter over medium heat.
Place the onions in the skillet, and saute until softened.
Mix in the garlic, and saute for 30 seconds longer.
Pour in the heavy whipping cream and sour cream, and stir until smooth and thickened.
Add salt and pepper and red pepper flakes to taste.
Stir in Β½ of the cheese, the chicken and palmini noodles.
Spread the mixture into the baking dish, and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
