How to Make Layered Dinosaur Soap Bars
Cut the soap base into one inch cubes.
Put 6 cubes in a measuring cup and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave, then remove and stir well.
If not completely melted, heat for an additional 15 seconds, and stir well.
Add the brown mica powder, and stir very well to make the color solid.
Pour into the dinosaur mold, and allow soap to set for about 1 hour.
Set the remaining melted soap base aside.
Once soap is set, remove from mold, then heat the base again, and pour into the mold.
Allow to set for 1 hour, then unmold.
Add the rest of the soap base cubes to a clean measuring cup and heat for 30 seconds, remove and stir.
Heat for additional 30 second increments, stirring between each heating session, until the soap base is fully melted.
Add coffee mica powder, then stir well, until the color is solid.
Allow soap to cool slightly, then pour a small amount of the soap base into the bottom of the 4β square soap mold.
Set a few dinosaurs into the bottom, then pour a little bit more soap.
Allow soap to set slightly, then add more dinosaurs.
Reheat the soap base, then allow to cool slightly, and pour a little bit more in.

- Dinosaur soap mold sold at Michaelβs, can link to similar ones on Amazon
- ΒΌ tsp brown mica powder
- β tsp coffee mica powder
- Microwave safe measuring cup with spout
- Wooden craft sticks for stirring
- Sharp knife or soap cutter
Instructions
