Gather all supplies. Measure and cut the pool noodle into three sections 2”, 2 ½”, and 3” long using a serrated kitchen knife. If working with smaller kids, make sure the adults to this part.
Trim around the top and bottom of each section of pool noodle with scissors to round the edges. This will give the wrapped pumpkins their shape.
Measure and cut the fabric 8” square from the 2” pumpkin, 10” square for the 2 ½” pumpkin, and 12” square for the 3” pumpkin. Use a fun variety of fat quarter fabrics from the dollar store or use up fabric scraps from your stash.
Place the fabric square upside down on your work surface, and starting in one corner, tuck the fabric into the hole at the top of the pool noodle.
Fold and tuck in the next section of fabric. Then continue to fold and tuck the fabric around the entire pool noodle.
Tuck the final corner of fabric into the hole at the top of the pool noodle. Make sure to push the fabric all the way into the hole, so the stem will fit.
Repeat the above steps for the other two (or more) pumpkins.
Select three wooden stems that will fit snugly into the top of each pumpkin, and then secure with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Cut several leaf shapes from olive green craft felt with pinking shears or scissors. Run a small line of glue at the base of the leaves and fold in half to create dimension. Measure and cut 8” lengths of natural jute twine and tie into bows.
Attach the felt leaves to the side of the wooden stems with a glue gun and glue sticks. Finish with a bow created from natural jute twine.
