Transform your Christmas morning with these incredible Glaze Donut Waffles that combine the best of both breakfast worlds! These fluffy, golden waffles are topped with a sweet vanilla glaze and festive red, green, and white sprinkles that will make your holiday breakfast feel extra special.
What makes these waffles so amazing is how they capture that beloved donut shop flavor in waffle form. The batter creates perfectly crispy edges with a tender, fluffy interior, while the homemade glaze adds just the right amount of sweetness. The Christmas sprinkles aren’t just for looks – they add a fun crunch and make every bite feel like a celebration!
How To Make Christmas Glaze Donut Waffles
Step 1. I start by grabbing a large bowl and combining all my dry ingredients – the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. I like to give it a good stir with a whisk to make sure everything is evenly distributed and there are no lumps hiding in there.

Step 2. In a separate medium bowl, I whisk together all the wet ingredients – the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. I make sure the butter isn’t too hot so it doesn’t scramble the egg, and I whisk until everything is nice and smooth.

Step 3. Now comes the fun part – I add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix them together until I have a smooth batter. I don’t overmix because that can make the waffles tough, just mix until everything is combined.

Step 4. I spray my heated waffle maker with olive oil to prevent sticking, then pour in about ¼ to ½ cup of the waffle batter depending on the size of my waffle maker. I let them cook for about 5 minutes or until they’re beautifully golden brown.

Step 5. While the waffles are cooking away, I make the glaze by combining the powdered sugar, milk, half and half, and vanilla in a small bowl. I stir until it’s completely smooth – this is what makes them taste like donuts!

Step 6. Once the waffles are done, I carefully remove them from the waffle maker and immediately drizzle them with the sweet glaze while they’re still warm. The glaze soaks in slightly and creates that perfect donut-like coating.

Step 7. The final touch is my favorite part – I shake those festive red, green, and white sprinkles all over the top! This is what makes them truly Christmas-worthy and brings out the kid in everyone.
