What is the best waffle maker to use?
I recommend a mini waffle maker – this one here works great – check it out
Preheat a mini waffle maker.
Add all of the chaffle ingredients to a mixing bowl
and stir until completely combined.
For the chaffles you will need:
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. Almond flour
⅓ C. Mozzarella cheese shredded
½ tsp. Vanilla extract
1-2 Tbsp. Swerve confectioners sugar substitute
2 Tbsp. Finely chopped granny smith apple pieces
1 Tbsp. Heavy whipping cream
Place half of the batter mixture into the waffle maker, and cook for 3-5 minutes until your desired level of doneness has been reached.
Remove the first chaffle, and place the second half of the batter into the mini waffle maker. Cook the second chaffle for 3-5 minutes until done.
Place the butter for the sauce in a small skillet or pot over medium heat on the stove.
Whisk in 1-2 tablespoons of Swerve confectioners sugar substitute.
Slowly cook the sauce down until the butter had browned but not burnt.
Pour the browned butter sauce over the top of the apple pie chaffles and serve.
If the sauce has a bit of crystallization from the sugar substitute,
it is no big deal, simply whisk it back in before pouring.
