Preheat oven to 180 ยฐC / 350 ยฐF. Prepare the donut mold: if you have a silicone mold, spread a little oil; If you are going to use a metal mold, place a thick layer of butter on all its edges, especially the center.

Place the butter, cream cheese and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Beat them with an electric mixer until the mixture is completely homogeneous.

 

 

This step is optional, but the donuts are a little fluffier if you do. In a separate bowl sift almond flour, baking powder, and sweetener.

Then gradually add the almond flour to the wet mixture, and beat for a few minutes until you get a homogeneous texture.

 

 

Pour the mixture into the donut molds leaving about 5 to 7 millimeters so that the mixture can rise without spilling. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until the donuts are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least an hour. If you have a little extra time, place the mold in the fridge for half an hour to more easily unmold the donuts. When they are very cold and unmold, prepare the chocolate topping.

 

 

Place the chocolate drops in a refractory glass bowl and melt in a water bath until the chocolate is completely liquid; If you want this mixture to be more fluid, add a tablespoon of butter and stir until the butter melts and integrates with the chocolate. Put this mixture in a small bowl where you can dip the donuts, the melted chocolate must be at least 1.5 cm high inside the bowl so that the donuts are well covered. Dip the donuts one by one and let stand until the chocolate cools and hardens again.
